Lippman has two distinct riding areas that are a little different from one another. There is the landfill area and the hillside. The landfill has only a few trails but connected with the lower trails on the hillside, can be a good amount of riding. The lower hillside trails and the trails at the landfill are flow trails, while the further up the hillside you go the more technical the trails become. Lippman trails are very well maintained and the signage is excellent. What makes Lippman a standout are the features that have been built. While mostly log skinnies there are a good handful of other features such as the table top jump, the high bridges, several rock gardens, the ramp shoot on Cyclone and the gaps of Viper.  Lippman has a enough riding for a day and is certainly a good time.
Must hit trails are Viper, with its high berms and gap jumps its really a stand out. Chupacabra, Gallop n Gert, S&M, Devils Drop, Cyclone and Rudy's Bailout are some of my favorites. Crazy 8's is a great warm up for the day, not only for the trails but for the skinnies.  Riding up the hill side can be broken up by taking some of the loop trails and by having a session on some of the skinnies you will find along the way.  For extra challenges we try to ride them forward and backward, stop mid way and start again and challenge each other to different ways to drop off the skinny.  For the most part Lippman is a XC area with good but mild technical riding.  Trails like Rock Garden and Rudy's Bailout are a bit more challenging.  While the steep shoot at the top of Cyclone can look intimidating it is very ridable and a perfect confidence builder. Just roll in slow, don't panic and modulate your brakes (avoid the skid) and weeeeeee. The high bridges in the landfill area are another confidence builder. They are wide enough to roll across without any potential to fall off but the fact that they are off the ground some 15-20 feet make them a real challenge for some riders.
Overall Lippman is place I always have a good day at and I am always happy we made the drive. It tends to dry out pretty early so its a good place to hit in early spring and its a good way to get the legs in shape.
