Trail System Area Info & Review - Pine Hill Rutland VT

Pine Hill

Pine Hill is a Gem of a place to ride. It is Fun! Lots of flow,  a bunch of features and an all around good time. Pine Hill requires a good amount of climbing, most trails are either up or down. The trails are very well marked with signs and maps. The riding is on the easier side with a limited amount of technical lines but what it lacks in chunk it makes up for with drops and great alt lines. Pine Hill has a strong active group of care-takers that maintain the 16 miles (and growing) of trail. The bridge work is excellent and unique, with a banked wooden berm, a suspension bridge and several others in the park it is clear that Pine Hill is well cared for.

Pine Hill is high on my list for fun trails and well designed climbs, as I am not a fan of climbs well designed trails that are climbable is pretty big plus in book. Broken Handlebar North is a fun DH only run with some great features but does not get the traffic that the flow trails see. Same can be said for Free Fall and Neils Lunge but I'm not of the opinion that thats a bad thing.

Must ride trails include Lower Half Pipe, Broken Handlebar North & South, Underdog and Stegosaurus.
