Trail System Review - Endless Brook Poultney VT

Endless Brook Trails

Endless Brook is comprised of only a few trails that are located on Dayton Hill. The trails are well suited for climbing and make for some great descents.  Climbing from the parking lot you will take Franz Falls to the Rusty Bucket Loop. Left on Rusty Bucket is my preferred up while the right side is my preferred down. From Rusty Bucket you can access High Roller but Hardy's Hill is the best trail to climb. It's long and sustained and can feel a little endless at times but the climb is worth it. From the top you can bomb back down Hardy's Hill or take the more technical Rocky Ridge. The trails are packed dirt with loose shale on top that creates a loose surface.
My favorite ride is up to the top and down Rocky Ridge then up again for a rip down Hardy's to High Roller. It is a lot of climbing.  There is an option for a hike-a-bike up Shale Shifter but I think it is more work than riding. At least thats my best guess after having done it a few times. If you want to make a day of it the Fair Grounds are only 5-10 minutes away and two areas combined make for a great day of riding.
Endless Brook has good signage and is well maintained. It does lack fun features and that keeps my days there limited. If Endless Brook had some well placed jumps, a few skinnies for the ride up or if Rocky Ridge was way more technical, I would ride there more often. Overall its a great place ride and a good enjoyable workout.
